Congratulations to RotheLowman for taking out two awards at the Urban Development Institute of Australia awards for excellence.
The architecture firm won the consultant award and also won for their urban renewal project on the Tip Top Bakery site in Brunswick.
The award for excellence citation said of the Dutch modernist style building and associated development: “The result of two years of extensive planning and rigorous consultation with the local and State Government and the community, not only does this development honour the site’s iconic history, the former Tip Top bakery site, but also creates a successful project that adds life and value to this emerging, inner city community. “
David Lock Associates’ Principal Mark Sheppard provided urban design evidence in support of the proposal at VCAT.
