Graphic Design Manager

South Melbourne based urban design and town planning firm are looking for Graphic Design Manager to lead and grow a graphic design/cartography team. 

Excellent graphic communication and graphic design skills are essential and should be suported by an appropriate qualification.  You must have a desire to lead a team and manage significant workloads applying an enthusiastic and flexible attitude.  You will be expected to work on your own initiative, under pressure, to meet tight deadlines.  As the successful applicant, it is essentaial that you have proven experience in the following areas:

• Team leadership and management
• Budget control
• Workflow Management
• Multi-tasking

Your work will involve a significant amount of mapping and information graphics, design and preparation of graphic material which may include the following: 

• Diagrams of illustrating urban design and planning analysis
• Diagrams of illustrating urban design and planning proposals
• Illustrative master plans of development proposals
• Diagrams and sketches for urban design guidelines
• 3D Modelling
• Desk-top published reports and brochures
• Graphic presentation aids including flyers, display panels and digital presentations
• Marketing material

The position will involve the use of a range of computer applications on a Mac platform.  Aptitude for computer use, and/or familiarity with any of the following programs will be of advantage:

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• CorelDraw (useful but not necessary)
