42 Moray Street Gains Ministerial Planning Approval

Location

Southbank

DLA is proud to announce the approval of a 51 storey mixed use tower development at 42 Moray Street and 11-13 Hancock Street, Southbank.

Approved by the Minister for Planning late last week, DLA has been providing statutory town planning services since the project’s inception, which will now see over 280 apartments and approximately 3000m2 of much-needed employment space introduced into one of Central Melbourne’s key Urban Renewal Areas.

‘The building has been designed to act as a landmark, and respond to its prominent location at the gateway to the City of Melbourne through the introduction of a distinct, curvilinear tower form within the existing urban morphology of Southbank. The building also ‘raises the bar’ within the local existing urban context through exemplary ground floor activation and public realm amenity.’ says DLA Associate Brodie Blades. ‘We congratulate all involved in the approval of this project and look forward to seeing construction commence shortly.’

DLA’s team of statutory town planners and urban designers are experts in solving Central City town planning and urban design issues. Contact Brodie Blades or Jonathan Halaliku to discuss how we can assist with your next development project.
