New Projects at DLA
Heidelberg West and Richmond
Banyule and Yarra
DLA are pleased to announce the commencement of two new strategic urban design projects – the Heidelberg West Urban Design Framework (UDF) on behalf of Banyule City Council, and the Bridge Road/Victoria Street built form review on behalf of the City of Yarra.
The Heidelberg West UDF will see DLA’s strategic planning and urban design team work closely with Banyule Council and the community to prepare a built form framework for the former Olympic Village. As part of the broader LaTrobe employment cluster, this key project will guide the long term future of this site and assist Council in determining the most appropriate built form outcome for the future of Heidelberg West.
Similarly, the Bridge Road/Victoria Street built form review will see DLA build upon previous strategic projects undertaken on behalf of the City of Yarra (including the Swan Street Structure Plan) by undertaking a holistic review of existing and potential built form along two of Yarra’s key commercial activity centre corridors. A key element of this project is the preparation of robust urban design principles to guide the future of these areas, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Council and the community on this important project.
DLA prides itself on our ability to provide considered and robust strategic planning and urban design advice on behalf of both the public and private sectors.
